¨ Child(ren) may not miss 2 classes in a 7-week session without notification. Maywood
Fine Arts reserves the right to drop students after 2 weeks of missed classes or lessons
without notification. There will be no refunds.
¨ All students must arrive on time. Any student arriving late or without
uniform/appropriate materials may be asked not to participate. If a music student
arrives after fifteen minutes into their lesson, the instructor reserves the right to cancel
the lesson upon arrival.
¨ Payments can be made at either Maywood Fine Arts or Stairway of the Stars in the form
of cash, checks and credit/debit cards. Payments can also be made online through the
student portal at www.maywoodfinearts.org on with the Maywood Fine Arts App.
¨ Tuition is due before the start date of each new 7-week session and failure to pay will
result in a late fee of $20. Failure to pay tuition means that your child is not guaranteed
placement in classes for the following session.
¨ If tuition is not paid by the second week of the session your child may be asked not to
participate or be dropped from the class.
¨ This is a continuous school year program. If you wish to drop a class, you must notify the
office by email or phone two weeks prior to the beginning of the next session.
¨ Child(ren) will not be able to participate in any performances, recitals, competitions, or
events until all tuition and additional balances have been paid in full.
¨ Costumes, uniforms or music books/accessories must be paid with cash or credit card
and cannot be picked up until fees are paid in full.
¨ No refunds will be given for missed or canceled classes, or classes dropped mid-session.
Specific Program Policies
¨ (Dance) Costume payments for the June recital must be made by January 31st, 2020.
Costume payments are non-refundable even if the student drops before the
performance (studio will retain the costume). A late fee of $20 will be applied if this
payment is not made on time.
¨ (Music) There are no make-up lessons for music students. If you cancel a lesson it will
not be made up. If the teacher must miss a lesson and Maywood Fine Arts cannot
arrange for a substitute teacher the class will be prorated.
¨ (Karate) There is an additional fee for any new colored karate belts earned during the
year. Please see the Karate instructor for new belt prices.
¨ (Pumpkin Patch Parade) MFA is a non-profit organization. In order to provide quality
affordable arts and fitness education, we need to raise funds to support our programs.
Every year we have one fundraiser we require all our families to participate in, The
Pumpkin Patch Parade. This year the Pumpkin Patch Parade is October 12, 2019. Each
family must turn raise at least $50 in pledges. Funds are due by October 12, 2019, rain
¨ For everyone's safety, all children must be accompanied by an adult or guardian 18
years or older when coming to class as well as leaving after class. Children may not be
left unattended in MFA buildings.
¨ Students must be dressed properly and be equipped for all classes (uniforms, lesson
¨ Occasionally classes and performances are professionally photographed for grants and
promotional purposes. Maywood Fine Arts retains the rights to any and all photographs
or video footage.
¨ It is your responsibility to inform Maywood Fine Arts of any changes/updates in your
email, phone number, address, or any contact information.
