Enrollment: Enrollment in Jacqueline's School of Ballet is on a semester basis. Accordingly, by enrolling at the commencement of a semester it is understood that tuition for the entire semester is owed. No tuition deduction or allowance shall be made by reason of absence or withdrawal. Tuition is not transferable and is non-refundable unless withdrawal is necessary due to prolonged injury or illness with written verification by a doctor. Missed classes may be made up by taking another class during the same semester in which the class was missed. First time enrollees may withdraw up through the first week for a full refund minus charges for classes taken that week and the registration fee. After the first week, the semester tuition for first time enrollees is fully owed and non-refundable.
Professional Track: The professional track is by audition only. Those accepted into pro-track are accepted into the program for one year. Students will need to re-audition every year. If students decide to withdraw during the year they will not be able to return to the Professional Track, but will be allowed to re-audition for the following year.
Semesters: The 2019-2020 school year is divided into two semesters
Fall Semester: August 26-January 25
Spring Semester: January 27 - May 16
Tuition: JSB gives a 5% discount off the full price of any semester tuition if the tuition is paid in full prior to the start of that semester. We also offer an option for tuition to be paid in equal semester installments through our online automatic credit card charge or bank draft, for this option installment payments will be charged/drafted on or near the 27th of each month. Please contact us if other payment arrangements will need to be made for your student's tuition, i.e. cash payments. When registering you will be given the option to specify in the family portal if you would like to pay by the semester or installments. Tuition shall be pro-rated for students who enroll after a semester has begun. Denied credit card authorization or bank draft returned for insufficient funds shall incur a $25 transaction fee.
When registering we have two tuition payment options that you may select from on your account page. We offer a pay for the "Semester in Full" option which comes with a 5% tuition discount, or " Installment Payment" option at the full tuition price split into 4 equal payments over the course of each semester.
Semester in Full: The payments for those selecting this option will be processed automatically on the first day of class of each semester or may also be processed manually prior to this by selecting the "make a payment" option on your account page. The 5% tuition discount will not apply to any semester in full payments made after these dates. With the Semester in Full option and the 4 Installment Payment option, you are responsible for the full cost of the semester, regardless of early withdrawal.
4 Installment Payments: By selecting this option you authorize us to process monthly tuition installment charges via credit/debit card or through an EFT. With this option you are responsible for the full cost of the semester, regardless of early withdrawal. Payments will be processed on or near the 26th of each month per the following schedule: (Please note installment payments are based on the full semester activity, not on the class schedule for the respective month)
FALL SEMESTER: August 26, September 26, October 25, November 26, NO PAYMENTS IN DECEMBER
SPRING SEMESTER: January 27, February 26, March 26, April 27, NO PAYMENTS IN MAY
Please note when installment charge/draft dates occur on a weekend or banking holidays, the charge/draft will occur after that date on the next business day.-
- You may change the payment option you are enrolled in prior to the beginning of each semester.
- Upon registration, your child will be automatically enrolled in both semesters unless you notify us that you are withdrawing from the school prior to the beginning of the second semester. Otherwise, you will be responsible for enrollment and the
full tuition payment of the semester without refunds or credits.
- Cash payments are only accepted for the semester in full payment option.
- Please be mindful that the payment option you choose will occur automatically on the dates given above, however, as a courtesy we will send out an email reminder prior to the processing of any scheduled payment.
Registration Fee: An annual $40 family registration fee will be due by August 1st. this fee is non-refundable for any reason.
Performance Fees: A Performance fee will be charged to all students participating in productions. These fees are estimated each year and will be charged as students are given the opportunity to participate. Performance fees will be due upon notice.
Family Discounts: We will give a 50% discount on the tuition of a third family member and each additional family member thereafter. If applicable, the 5% discount for tuition paid in full prior to the start of the semester will only be applied to the tuition of the first two students.
As the legal parent or guardian, I release and hold harmless Jacqueline's School of Ballet, its owners and operators from any and all liability, claims, demands, and causes of action whatsoever, arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury, including death, that may be sustained by the participant and/or the undersigned, while in or upon the premises or any premises under the control and supervision of JSB, its owners and operators or in route to or from any of said premises.
