HomeLife Tutorial is open to all students who have been homeschooled at least one year and who are
registered with an umbrella school or local board of education. Students who are enrolled with a Tennessee
virtual school are not eligible. To register for classes, the online registration form must be completed and
submitted along with the nonrefundable registration fee. The registration fee must be received in order to hold your student's spot in the class. Upon receiving your registration form, an interview will be scheduled for each family (both returning and new) to discuss your student's needs/placement and answer any questions you may have. Enrollment in some courses may require some pre-requisite course work and final acceptance into these classes is based upon approval of the instructor and/or Classroom Administrator.
Tuition is paid directly to HomeLife Tutorial. The tuition is used to pay for the instructors that you, the parent,
have hired to tutor your children. It is also used to offset administration and operation expenses. Please
understand when you enroll with HomeLife Tutorial, you are making a financial commitment for the entire
year. Please see our Financial Agreement that outlines our financial policy.
Parents have the primary responsibility for their student's education and parental involvement is vital to the
student's success. We ask that you communicate with your instructors and with the Classroom Administrator as often as needed to ensure your student's success. Please see our Code of Conduct which includes Parent Responsibilities.
Students are expected to arrive on time and be ready to begin when the class starts. Please do not drop your
student off more than 30 minutes before class. Students need to be picked up promptly when class is over.
For the protection of staff, instructors, and other students please do not send sick students to class.
If you student needs to miss because of sickness, travel, etc., please let the instructor know as soon as
possible. It is the student's/parent's responsibility to contact the instructor regarding making up missed
assignments. Missed classes are not pro-rated. Students must remain in the building at all times during class
times and may not be in any outside area without a parent, other supervising adult or permission of their instructor.
We will communicate via phone, Facebook, and/or email any cancellations due to inclement weather.
We must have an emergency contact on your registration form. Please list someone local that we can contact
in the event we cannot get in touch with you. You will be given the name and number of a staff member
should you need to contact your student in the event of an emergency.
Students may bring cell phones but they must be silenced during class time. Other electronic devices such as
mp3 players, ipods, etc. may be in designated areas only. High School students may use laptops to take notes
with instructor's consent.
We expect the students to be respectful of HomeLife Academy and HomeLife Tutorial property. Classrooms, bathrooms and hallways are to be left clean. Students may be in designated areas only. Parents are responsible to repair or replace any property damaged by their student.
Food and Drinks
Food and drinks may be consumed during class with the instructor's permission; otherwise, they may be
consumed during the break. All snacks and drinks must be taken home daily. No peanut products without approval. HLT provides a "Corner Store" for Junior High and High School students to purchase snacks and water. Elementary students wanting to purchase snacks (no sweets) must do so before class begins. There is a microwave available for occasional use to the Junior High, High School, and instructors only. Elementary is not allowed use of the microwave.
It is our desire to create a learning environment that is relaxed, fosters creativity and collaboration among
students and encourages learning independence. We ask each student to be mindful of the following
Class participation by all students is integral to the success of this tutorial. Each student is expected to come to class fully prepared to participate in classroom discussion, offer input on project ideas, and work with other students and teachers in a respectful and helpful manner.
The amount of homework given will directly correlate with the number of hours your student spends at tutorial. Ample time will be given over the three day period for students to complete assignments.
Any assignments not completed during tutorial hours will be expected to be completed at home. It is the parent's responsibility to make sure your student's homework is being completed.
Students are expected to read, understand, and agree to the Code of Conduct which explains the Student Responsibilities, Dress Code, Academic Code, and Behavior in the class room.?
Any activity that compromises the academic integrity of HomeLife Tutorial and undermines the educational
process will not be tolerated and will be grounds for dismissal. This sort of academic misconduct includes, but
is not limited to, cheating, plagiarism, unauthorized use of resources, and facilitating academic dishonesty.
HomeLife Tutorial reserves the right to dismiss a student/family for personal and/or academic misconduct at
our discretion. Fees will not be refunded.
The goal of the HomeLife Tutorial (HLT) is to provide affordable options as a local outreach to homeschooling families. HLT operates on a very controlled budget and an integral part of maintaining that budget is the timely receipt of all registration fees, tuition and resource fees, as well as a commitment from our families so that we can commit to our instructors for their time. In order to accomplish this, we have adopted the following tuition payment policy. This policy will be strictly adhered to and enforced by the director and board.
Tuition is calculated per family and is billed monthly for 10 months (August-May) unless you choose the Semester or Annual Payment Plan. If you pay your tuition in full by August 15, you will receive a 5% discount. We divide your tuition over a full 10 months to offer the lowest monthly payment possible which means that you will have a December payment also. Semester and Full program options are not discounted.
NOTE: You may notice an increase in the monthly amounts below. We are including all resource and lab fees in the monthly fee so you will no longer have amounts due in July for those fees. All curriculum and resources are included as well as most school supplies. Students may be asked to pick up their own copies of literature/readers.

Archway courses are included in your monthly tuition. You can opt to take the NEW Archway NEST math using Edgenuity curriculum for an additional $10 per month or add The Bridge to supplement Reading and Math for your 1st-6th grade students for $29 per month.
A $20.00 late fee will be assessed after the 25th of the month for payments not received or that may be declined. If an account becomes 30 days past due, students will not be allowed to attend class or participate in school activities until the past due balance is paid. A $20.00 charge will be assessed for any payments returned by the financial institution. All payments will be required in cashier's check or money order after the second returned payment.
First Tuition Payment will be drafted on August 15. If we have not received your tuition payment by August 15, we will charge the debit/credit card we have on file. Failure to pay the first month's tuition by September 1 may result in student(s) being removed from the class roster and placed on a waiting list until tuition is received. This could jeopardize your student's enrollment in classes. Your student will not be able to begin classes until tuition is paid.
I am aware of the stated Tuition and Fees and understand that payment will be charged to my account on the 15th of each month for the Monthly Payment Plan, otherwise payment is due in full by September 1.
I understand and am aware that this is a financial commitment to HomeLife Tutorial for the entire school year, and I will be responsible for payment of the entire tuition per the guidelines above.
Credit will be given at the end of the year for classes cancelled by HomeLife Tutorial. No refunds will be given when a student misses classes for sickness, vacation, etc. Students will be responsible for contacting the instructor for assignments.
All classes require a minimum of 5 students and have a maximum of 10-12 students.
You have until August 1 to drop a class in which a student is registered. You will receive a refund for any fees paid less the non-refundable registration fee. After August 1, you will be responsible to meet the financial agreement for the year. Please see our financial agreement. We realize that unexpected things happen in life. Each situation is reviewed, prayed over and discussed by the Board before making final decisions regarding this financial obligation.
