COVID-19 Addendum
Its very important to us that we are careful in our efforts to promote a safe environment for our students and encourage healthy practices as we come back together. Please know that we are taking this very seriously and hope that we can all cooperate in these new policy changes.
If your child has a fever, cough, or feels sick in any way, we ask you to keep them home and not have them participate until they are completely recovered. If any child shows symptoms of illness, they will be removed from class and their parents will be called to pick them up. If your child has been exposed to or diagnosed with COVID-19, please notify the studio and do not have them return to classes or any other studio events until they are cleared by a doctor.
Drop-off/Pick-up only - The lobby will be closed for waiting parents and family members. Our front desk team will be present to help with this plan. We ask that you drive down to the end of the parking lot (towards the building that says "Fiber") and turn around so as to exit the parking lot so you can pull up in front of the studio headed north. The parking spaces in front of the studio will be coned off for this purpose. We will make sure the students get into their appropriate classes. We suggest parking down near Cafe Genovese if you choose to stick around and wait in your car. For pick up, we request that Pre-Ballet parents please walk up to the door to receive your child. We will have the door on the left (unit 208) as an ENTRANCE only door and door on the right (unit 209) as EXIT only, where you may receive your child. Although the lobby is closed for waiting, we are open for account questions or concerns at the front desk. Please be prompt in both drop-off and pick up to help us avoid crowding the lobby area. We have a structured plan and traffic pattern for inside the studio to help keep everything flowing.
Sanitizing - Although the classes are all listed with a start and end time, we will end all classes five minutes early to allow teachers to sanitize the dance studio areas before the next class enters. Please keep this in mind when coming to pick up your child. Meticulous care will be used to keep common areas and bathrooms clean. Hand sanitizer will be available and offered to students often. Of course, plenty of soap and water is available too.
Water cooler - The water cooler will be off limits generally. Please send your child with a water bottle with their name on it.
Masks - Masks will be worn by staff in lobby areas however, I do not encourage them to be worn in actual dance classes. Air flow is a concern when participating in aerobic exercise. We will be watching guidelines for our area and complying with local regulations as needed. Masks are encouraged for those visiting the lobby.
Please help :-) This isn't going to be perfect. The whole world is learning as we go right now and we are no exception. We will do our very best in our commitment for best business practices. We truly appreciate your patience and understanding while we work to get it right.
THANK YOU! "Thank you" just isn't enough for your support and for sticking it out through this uncomfortable and uncertain time. There is still work to be done and yet I'm hopeful that we can offer some sense of normalcy for your children and help them feel secure and engaged in this activity and art form that we all love so much!
Sincerely,
Heather Loveland & Staff at HLDA

A premiere dance studio in our area, HLDA offers dance classes for all ages, no matter the experience. Our classes are structured in a way to make each dancer feel comfortable, have fun, and refine their technical abilities at their own pace. We help to build positive, motivating relationships between teacher and student allowing each dancer to succeed. Our studio environment is specifically designed to find joy in dance and we aim to have our students experience that during each and every class!
We appreciate the support of all of our students and parents as we strive to have an orderly and organized studio with the best business practices. Encouraging your dancer to build character traits such as kindness, obedience and hard work will help us have a successful dance class each week.

If a class is missed, students may make-up their absence in a comparable level class. Please ask your teacher or HLDA staff member for make-up class recommendations. Make-up classes are not recommended for absences from the months of March through May while preparing for performances.
Conduct

Important Dates
Visitors Week will be held the weeks of January 18 - January 28, 2021, during your regularly scheduled class time. This is a chance for parents, family and friends to come and observe our classes and see our dancers in action. Please bring your cameras to capture these memories. You'll be amazed at all the improvements each dancer has made since the beginning of the year! Our Visitors Week is also an opportunity to get important details about our annual Spring Concert (recital) so don't miss it!
Spring Concert
Our annual Spring Concert (recital) will be held on SATURDAY, JUNE 19, 2021, for our dancers in first grade through high school. Our performance will be held at the Lazarra Theatre at the UNF Performing Arts Center at 7:00 p.m. We will have a dress rehearsal that morning so please make necessary arrangements to take off work and get child care for other children in your family for that day.
Our Pre-Ballet/Apprentice recital will be held on SATURDAY, MAY 22, 2021. Additional details for this performance will be given at a later date.
We'll also have a dress rehearsal in the studio prior to recital on SATURDAY, MAY 15, 2021. Please mark your calendars and block out that day for this purpose. Detailed schedules will be released as we get closer to these dates.
Tickets to our Spring Concert will go on sale on May 3, 2021, and are $15. You will receive two free tickets when your account is paid in full through May tuition, as well as all costume and recital fees.
Volunteers are welcome and needed! We invite you to help us throughout our dress rehearsals and performances backstage or maybe even on stage! Please share with us any skills or artistry you could contribute to our show. We love to have family members help building props and adding to your dancer's production in any way.
Thank you!

Tips & Tricks
• Talk to your child about these rules and expectations. Coach them through meeting new friends and doing new things!
• Pack a dance bag. Keep dance clothes, hair brush, hair ties, a snack and water bottle. The after-school rush can be stressful and preparation makes happy dancers.
• Label EVERYTHING! Dancers have the same color shoes and tights- protect your purchases by clearly printing their name in all of it.
• Please plan for the recital date and studio closures in advance. We publish these dates early to help you avoid conflict.
• Please reach out to Mrs. Heather with any questions or concerns you may have. It's a pleasure to nurture your dancers and help them have the best experience possible!
