Tuition/Registration Fee: (non-refundable/non-transferable or pro-rated) Tuition is due by the tenth of each month. You may not skip weeks or months of enrollment to avoid full cost of tuition.

THE STUDIO accepts the following forms of payment: Cash, Checks, Credit Cards?Dancers absent from class the week tuition is due, are still responsible for timely payment. A late fee of $10 will be added if tuition is not paid on time. Dancers will not be permitted into class /performances unless all balances are current. A returned check will incur a $20 fee. Tuition will not be pro-rated for missed classes or Studio scheduled breaks, nor will you be charged extra for months with 5 weeks. (Tuition is based on a 4 week month).
Dancers will be evaluated during classes to ensure proper placement. Level changes may be made based on Studio Director &/or teacher evaluations throughout the dance season. Dancers must be able to execute and demonstrate proper technique for enrolled level. Some students may take several years to develop as a dancer while others may only need as little as a year of training. Please reference schedule for Levels & class requirements.
E-mail/Studio Postings/Social Networks/Web:
The Studio sends important information via E-mail as well as openly posts information in our lobby. The Studio is not responsible for dancers/parents that do not read E-mail/postings or stay current with important dates, events & deadlines. Parents/Dancers will need to provide The Studio with accurate and updated E-mail & contact info. We also have a Studio page on Facebook where we post several updates and encourage you to join in the conversation. To respect and maintain teacher professionalism and policy - students/parents should contact Studio Office with all questions & comments and not via a Studio Teachers social networks and or Email/phone/text.
Parents are responsible for dancers and their siblings. Parents wishing to stay in lobby with siblings are asked to engage in quiet activities (ex. coloring, card games, video games, books) Running and any activities that may disrupt class, teachers, students, observers, or front desk staff is not permitted. The Studio is not responsible for any valuables lost or stolen. No food or gum (other than vending snacks) are permitted. Water Only Please.
S.L.A.M Showcase: Performance will be in Late May, Date TBA . At the end of the dance season, The Studio Dance Company presents S.L.A.M = Sound Lives And Moves, our annual Dance Showcase at Mahaffey Theater. All dancers enrolled in Studio weekly classes are encouraged to participate in the production. The S.L.A.M Stage Rehearsal is required by all dancers participating in the performance. Tickets will be on sale in the spring for family and friends to attend.
Costumes for S.L.A.M :
Fees due on or before - Saturday December 2nd, 2017. Costumes are $75.00 for each performing class. Costumes purchased after December 2nd, 2017 are $85. Dancer will be sized & costumes will be ordered to fit closest to those measurements (allowing for growth). Costumes are in a size range and are NOT a custom fit. Costumes may require alterations by a tailor or parent. Any dancer or parent may inquire to the size that will be ordered and may suggest another size (must be done before Dec. 20th). Costumes must be picked up by May 31, 2018 or they will be forfeited without refund. Costumes are non-refundable & are NOT to be exchanged for size.
Dance requires discipline and dedication. For this reason, we expect dancers to attend classes consistently. Parents/dancers are responsible to notify THE STUDIO after two missed consecutive weeks to avoid being dropped. If a dancer misses more than 3 classes during S.L.A.M preparation The Studio has the right not to allow an unprepared dancer to perform. If you miss the S.L.A.M Rehearsal you are required to take a private lesson.
I you choose to discontinue our dance program you must fill out a Studio Drop Form with the front desk. Changes in schedule to add or drop a class may only be done during the first week of each month.
Arrival & Dismissal:
Dancers may be dropped off at The Studio no more than 15 minutes prior to class. Parents may stay in our reception area and watch the class, or arrive promptly at the end of class to pick up their dancer. THE STUDIO is not responsible for dancers before or after scheduled dance classes. Dancers that arrive more than 15 minutes after class has started are considered late & will not be admitted into class.
Disruptive behavior may require the instructor to dismiss a dancer from class. If disruptive behavior continues a verbal warning will be issued to dancer, followed by a phone call to parent, the director has the right to dismiss any dancer from the program. Disruptive behavior includes but is not limited to a dancer not following the instructor, rude comments toward dancers, parents, and Studio Staff members and overall lack of discipline during class. The Studio does not allow negative comments of any kind by students or parents in lobby, events and etc. We support a positive environment for everyone. Any concerns should be handled maturely and timely.
Missed & Make-Up Classes:
No refunds/credits are given for dancers missing class, classes cancelled due to inclement weather, missed classes due to month you missed. Make-up classes are not to be abused, you will only be allowed 3 make-up classes per season (scheduled through the Studio Office) Dancers are places into a class that most closely matches the class they missed. Make Up classes are NOT available after February due to S.L.A.M preparations.
In case of poor weather conditions, always call The Studio 727-724-5999. We will also make every effort to update our website, Facebook & send an E-mail to dancers as quickly as possible. We do not always follow School Closings. However, please do not feel obligated to travel to class if you are uncomfortable with the weather conditions. Cancelled classes due to inclement weather will not be offered make up class or refunded tuition. Unfortunately, these situations are out of our control and we may need to close for for safety reasons.
I hereby release and hold harmless iCON DANCE INC, its directors, employees, instructors, guest instructors and volunteers from any and all claims, causes of action, suits or liability, costs and expenses (including, without limitation, reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of, or in connection with, any loss, personal injury, death, or other damage that I may incur or suffer by reason or as a result of my enrollment or participation in classes, events, performances, and private lessons with iCON DANCE INC, I am aware that my involvement in dance and aerobics involves risk and possible injury, and I will not hold iCON DANCE INC responsible for my involvement. I expressly assume the risk associated with dancing and choreography and all other events and programs and performances sponsored by iCON DANCE INC, I understand that iCON DANCE INC, may record my participation at any time on video or by photograph. I grant iCON DANCE INC, unlimited use of any such recordings with no obligation to me. Such recordings are the sole property of iCON DANCE INC.
Dancers are required to be properly dressed for class. Select apparel and footwear are available at The Studio.
Hip Hop/ Break Dance /R&B/Mini Movers/Character Development:
Any Sneakers (high or low top) - Note: Dancers will be required to wear all black sneakers for S.L.A.M Attire: Comfortable clothing including, sweatpants, T-shirts, shorts
Ballet: Pink slippers for female dancers, black slippers for male dancers
Females black leotard and footed pink tights, hair in bun (skirt or fitted shorts optional)
Males black tights, fitted white tank top or tshirt (fitted shorts optional)
Contemporary/Lyrical/Turns&Leaps/Acro: Tan dance paws or barefeet. Fitted tshirt, tank top, or leotard. Fitted shorts or stretch pants. Hair pulled back.
Jazz: tan jazz slipper or tan jazz boot. Fitted tank or leotard, fitted shorts or stretch pants. Hair pulled back
