2020-2021 Annual Enrollment
The NCDA program is run on an annual, progressive learning syllabus and not by semester. Upon registration, it is understood that enrollment is for the Academy dance year from September 3rd, 2020 (first day of classes) through May 30th, 2021 (last day of classes). Refunds will only be given if Miss Elaine is notified within 48 hours of the first class.
No refunds will be given after the first week of classes except in the case of medical reasons supported with a doctor's letter or in the case of family relocation away from the Fairfield County.
NCDA accepts payment with credit cards or by check.
2020-2021 Registration
Registration and enrollment is not complete until a deposit of $100 per class plus a non-refundable registration fee of $25 per student is paid by credit card or check.
Log in to your account, click on the "Billing and Payments" tab, click on "Pay Now", and enter the amount you need to pay for the deposit(s) and registration fee(s) to guarantee your enrollment.
If you are a returning family, please be sure to UPDATE YOUR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION.
2020-2021 Payment Schedule
To accommodate for the fluidity of the COVID updates affecting our schedule for in-studio plus virtual classes, we are suspending the requirement for tuition to be paid in two installments, 50% at the start of classes in September and the balance in November. We will instead be charging the credit cards on your accounts monthly, so that families are not, for example, charged for in-studio classes should we have to temporarily switch to virtual classes.
Waivers
COVID-19
The New Canaan Dance Academy has put in place preventative measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19, following all CDC re-opening guidelines, especially with regards to distancing and sanitizing protocols. NCDA, however, cannot guarantee that you or your child(ren) will not become infected with COVID-19.
By signing this agreement, I acknowledge the contagious nature of COVID-19 and voluntarily assume all risks associated with attending NCDA's dance classes. For more details regarding our Studio Safety Protocols, please visit our website.
Medical
I give permission to New Canaan Dance Academy to seek medical treatment for my child in the event they are not able to reach a parent or guardian, and that I have listed my child's medical conditions that NCDA should be aware of, as well as any medication that my child should be taking.
Liability
I understand that participation in NCDA classes and performances brings the possibility of physical injury to the students, and I agree to assume all risks and responsibilities in the event of any such injuries.
Request for Reservation to Dance in-Studio
We have upgraded our Studios to bring you hybrid classes this Fall: in-Studio classes for those who would like to dance in our Studios (limited capacity), combined with Zoom classes you can take from home. For Students who would like to take class in-Studio, a list of Studio Safety Protocols can be found on our website.
If you have read & are comfortable with the Studio Safety Protocols, and if you'd like to dance in-Studio, you must fill out the "Request for an In-Studio Reservation" form, located on the Classes page of our website.
https://www.ncdacademy.com/classes
Please also review all info provided for In-Studio Dancers.
We will see your request & will schedule you for in-Studio classes. Depending on the demand for in-Studio participation, you may get the chance to dance in-Studio every week, every other week, or once a month. Our "Reservation Schedule" will be released at the start of each month so you can mark your calendars then. You will be required to submit a Screening Form (also found on our website) on the day/s you are scheduled to dance in-Studio. The form takes seconds to fill out & requires parent/guardian approval.
