* FALL/SPRING REGISTRATIONS:
Tuition: Our payment schedule is divided up into 9.5 monthly payments. There are no make-up days for holidays. JBDA's in-session classes are a total 38 weeks, this excludes weeks off for holidays. The session is then divided into 9.5 payments, NOT by the lesson or number of lessons in a month. Pro-rated tuition for either Aug OR May, dependent on scaled breakdown.

*Classes must meet a minimum number of enrollments, should a class not meet that it will be canceled. We will work with the students enrolled in canceled class to find another great fit!

Auto-draft/E-payments - This is our most popular and simple payment method, in which you pay your fees monthly installments through our Auto Draft provider located in your parent portal. This convenient draft will be drafted on the 1st or the 10th of each month. No later.
*If payments decline you have 2 days to pay to avoid the overdue fees.
**All Fees will be Auto-draft including costume, recital, and competition company fees.**

Overdue fees will accrue a late fee of $15 and if fees remain unpaid by the end of the month of classes students will not be permitted to participate in their lessons.

**Please note: All students are invoiced based on equal monthly basis/per term so your invoice will be the same each month unless you change classes. If you decide to withdraw from classes mid-month for any reason, you will still be charged for the entire invoiced period. No refund will be made after tuition is paid. If you would like to withdraw please notify the office through e-mail with a 2 week notice before the start of the next month.

Refunds will NOT be issued for missed classes due to cancellation or public holiday - where possible, we will endeavor to arrange make-up lessons for classes cancelled by Just Be Dance Academy or will offer an alternative class.
JBDA typically follows school closings due to weather, where possible we may decide to hold classes or provide make-up days.
Students may Make-Up a class for classes missed due to missing for reasons on their behalf. Make-Up classes can be made in any age appropriate class.
If you'd like to drop class you must give no less than a weeks notice in writing before tuition is drafted.
NO Refunds will be given if notice is given the day of or after tuition is drafted!!
We encourage all students to participate in our end of the year recital as it a great way for children to build confidence, however if for any reason you decide to drop the class you may do so. You will not be charged for any months after you drop, we encourage one to at least finish out the month as the only time you will not be refunded is if you drop mid-month.

Fees:
Registration Fees are non-refundable!

Recital: $60 per student, $20 for addition siblings. Just Be Dance Academy will hold its annual recital either end of May or 1st weekend in June. Date and time will be determined by December 1st if possible. Students are encouraged to participate but are in no way obligated to do so. If you decide not to participate in the recital, you must notify the studio by Feb. 1st. A drop fee will be issued if notified later than Feb.

COSTUME Fees: Recreational Classes - $70.00 per class.
Company Costumes - Average $95- $125

*Recital fees include recital ticket package for the family and a digital download recital video. Costume Payments due Nov. 1st or 10th with tuition. Recital Fees due by Feb. 1st.

*Each class has 1 costume per class. Students in multiple classes will be charged additional costume fees.

Just Be Dance Academy's primary source of communication is though emails, text, and of course in person.
Please list current and accessible emails and cell phone numbers.
Sometimes emails get sent to spam or other folders. Please be sure to save or like one of our emails so that your email host recognizes our email address. If you are not receiving our emails or text please see or front desk staff for assistance.

Covid-19 Policy and Procedure

For Just Be Dance Academy to operate safely during these times, we ask that all dancers (please review the basics with your child), family members, and staff always adhere to the following:

Outlined Procedures:

*Self-isolation: If you are sick or have been in contact with anyone Covid-19 positive. Follow CDC guidelines for self or family isolation.

*Masks or Face coverings are recommended for age 12- adult if non-vaccinated when in common areas and lobby and when distancing of 3ft -6ft or more is not an option.

*Exceptions to masks or face coverings: Fully Vaccinated, Medical condition, ages 11 and under and *all ages while dancing. Non vaccinated Staff is always required to wear masks. Always cover mouth and nose with a tissue when coughing or sneezing. Dispose of tissue and wash hands after.

*Practice Social Distancing of at least 3- 6ft or more.

*Wash Hands Frequently. Before leaving home, after eating, before and after classes.

*Cleaning and Disinfecting: All staff will commit to excessive cleaning practices. All surfaces will be cleaned before each new class enters these areas include ballet barres, mats, equipment's, doors, bathrooms, and studio floors. All studios will have proper air circulation, extra HEPA filter purifying and filtering. Just Be Dance will use a natural anti-microbial/anti-bacterial concentrated mist and wipes..

*Avoid touching eyes, nose, and mouth as much as possible. Parents please remind and discuss the importance with your child. Staff will remind children with fun and memorable quotes and rhymes.

*Avoid sharing props or other equipment or disinfect between use. Individual mat fees for acro students will be applied so each student can have their own during class.

*Lobby: Update: June 2021. Our lobby will be open with limited capacity. Parents/Guardians can still opt to drop off and remain in their car or return on time for car line pick up. It is imperative children are picked up ON time to assist in smooth and effective transitions.

*Staggered times: To eliminate cross traffic and maintain social distancing, Just Be Dance has created a schedule that is staggered for each studio space and allows time for cleaning between classes.

*Temperature Checks: Dependent on a few factors. We will either advise parents to take their child's temperature and sign an acknowledgement or Just Be Dance Academy staff will take temperatures at the door before entering class. Students that have a temperature or had a temperature in the past 48 hours of 100.0 or higher may not be permitted to attend in-person classes.

*Sanitize stations: All families, students and staff must sanitize their hands before entering and exiting the classroom. If anyone should have a skin allergy or aversion to hand sanitizer, we ask you wash hands often and thoroughly in place of sanitizing.

*Water: There will be no access to water fountains. Dancers can bring their own water bottles.

*Dance Bags and Attire: Please wash and wipe down often. Each dancer will have a designated spot, spaced out 6ft each, to place their dance bags. We encourage dancers to only wear their dance shoes during dance class then wipe and place in their bags after. Please have a separate clean pair of shoes to enter and exit the building.

*Studio spacing and capacity: Each studio has been carefully marked and spaced for each student to dance in their own space. We will still encourage fun ways to connect and socialize with the distance between.

*Schedule: Just Be Dance has taken extra precautions in scheduling to ensure safety. Small class sizes, staggered start times, and extra time allotted for cleaning and disinfecting.

*Quarantine plane: Should a student need to miss classes due to exposure or thought of exposure, Just Be Dance Academy will provide unlimited virtual class options or make-up classes. Please review our Self-Isolate/ quarantine protocol photos on our website.

I, by acknowledgement and complete agreement below, hereby declare both personally and/or as parent and/or legal guardian of the child that is or maybe less than 18 years of age (either party hereafter referred to as I and/or We) the following:
So that I and/or We can enjoy activities for which I may not be skilled I and/or We are informed that there is some inherent unavoidable risks, known and unknown, that may cause harm, loss, personal injury and in the most extreme cases even potentially death, in participating in any course, in person or through our virtual classroom experience, of physical activity. Some risks cannot be avoided without destroying the unique character of these activities and can also be the cause of loss or damage to others, equipment and/or others personal property. Certain risks are indigenous to physical contact sports that involve any form of dance and any other activity that student, client, or spectator willfully engages in relation to or in affiliation with Just Be Dance Academy.
I and /or we expressively agree that I and/or we fully assume 100% complete and full responsibility for all risks described above and/or any of others known or unknown. And hereby hold harmless and release 100% of all and any liability and discharge Just Be Dance Academy LLC, and/or each and every student, client, Owner, Operator, Officer, Partner, contractor, teacher, employee, agent, representative, and/or assessors or assigns from any and all manners of action or actions, lawsuits, debts, liens, contracts, agreements, promises, insinuations, liabilities, claims, rights, obligations, negligence, damages, loses, and expenses of any nature whatsoever, known and unknown for which I and/or we have may have or may ever hereafter against each and/or every of the above referenced persons and/or entities by reason of use of any of the facilities, participating in any course of exercise , and/or any affiliation whatsoever with the all above.
I and/or We represent that students/Participants are in good physical and/or mental condition and that He/She has no impairments, ailments, disabilities or special circumstances to prevent them from undertaking any activity. And that if I and/or We have or become aware of a medical history, disorder, condition, concern, or any other doubt regarding any physical or mental issue that I and/or We should seek the consultation and/or examination of a Professional licensed physician before engaging in any and all activity or affiliation.
Furthermore, none of the parties above can unfortunately be held responsible, accountable, or liable for any and all personal property or public property in care of the undersigned. This includes but is not limited to damage, theft, or destruction of the same thereof and that I and/or We assume 100% full responsibility and risks of such property.
I and/or We finally acknowledge carefully reading, completely understanding, and agreeing 100% with the entire document releasing and discharging all and any future claims known and unknown expressively waiving any rights I may have against any of the above. I and/or We fully realize and understand that this is a binding legal document which completely eliminates any claims and effects any rights I may have with any affiliation specifically with Just Be Dance Academy LLC, all above, successors and/or assigns.

Code of Conduct

To ensure the smooth, safe running of Just Be Dance Academy and an enjoyable experience by all, below you will find our code of conduct. As always we are open to feedback, so if any of the requirements outlined below are unclear or concerning, please give us a call to discuss further. Following a formal meeting, we do reserve the right to dismiss or take disciplinary action on any students or parents who breach our studio's code of conduct.
Families who do not comply with their fee or costume payment obligations may be charged a late fee, and/or excluded from performances. External debt collection may occur when fees remain overdue and this will be at the expense of the client. Costume expenses are the responsibility of the parent, and costumes will not be issued to students with unpaid class fees.
No classes (including private lessons) or teachers are to be disturbed unless it is an emergency. Parents are not to approach teachers or students during class and if messages or food/drink/medication needs to be passed on to a student, it must be done through a Just Be Dance Academy staff member. All parents must wait in the waiting areas or outside of the studios until classes have been dismissed.
We are unable to take responsibility for our students before or after their scheduled classes and it is the responsibility of the parent to ensure their child is picked up and dropped off on time. In the case of an emergency or unavoidable delay, please contact the studio immediately to inform us of the situation so we can keep your child calm and safe until they can be collected.
Any questions or complaints must go through reception - parents and students are not permitted to contact Just Be Dance Academy teachers via phone, in person, or via email / social networking with studio issues unless it has been broached with the principal first. Personal meetings with the studio principal can happily be arranged via reception.
In the rare case of a parent or student showing disrespect or defamation to any parent, staff member or student, a meeting will be called immediately and dismissal may be considered at the discretion of the principal. Physical, mental, emotional or cyber bullying by parents, staff or students will not be tolerated and may result in dismissal from the studio.
Just Be Dance Academy takes no responsibility for any stolen or misplaced property on the studio premises and we encourage our families to avoid bringing valuable items into the studio where possible.
Only private lesson students are permitted to enter solo competitions and it must be with the permission of their teacher and choreographer.
Just Be Dance Academy management reserves the right to change teachers or timetabling when necessary at any time throughout the year.

Choreography, costuming and studio policies remain the intellectual property of Just Be Dance Academy and may not be reproduced or sold by any students, parents or staff without permission of the principal/s.

Safety

With the safety of our families a number one priority, Just Be dance Academy is very serious about upholding Child Protection laws and policies within the studio as well as at public performances and in the online arena (website and social media). As a YPAD Certified Studio, we also strive to hold ourselves to the highest standards of integrity and accountability by implementing safe boundaries and healthy artistry within our dance settings.

As part of your registration, you will have read and signed a media waiver allowing us to proudly use images and video footage of your student for advertising and promotional purposes. Should you have any concerns whatsoever with signing this declaration, please see our reception staff who will happily assist you.

We have a number of viewing windows / parent viewing sessions / and will be installing CCTV cameras within the studio rehearsal space which can be checked by parents and family members from the comfort of our waiting area.
Just Be Dance Academy is a Youth Protections in Dance (YPAD) certified studio.
Being YPAD Certified Means All Staff and Faculty Are:

• Mandated Reporters/ Trained in Prevention of Abuse
• Positive Role Models in Body Image, Language and Behavior
• Trained in Emotional Health, Physical Safety and Psychology of Injury
• Understanding of Nutrition and Eating Disorders
• Committed to Age Appropriate Artistic Choices in Music, Costumes, Movement and Concepts
• Healthy and Safe Social Media Practices

The directors and staff at Just Be Dance Academy are educated in the negative impact of inappropriate music and costume selection when it comes to performing dance routines and are wholeheartedly committed to ensuring children in all of our dance routines are not subjected to any inappropriate songs or costuming. We recognize that songs with sexist, explicit, violent, racist, homophobic or criminal content may influence our dancers and/or audience and will strive to avoid using such music. We are committed to restricting costumes that project sexuality, contain explicit graphic or textual content.
Our staff members have all been trained in first aid. We enforce a nut-free policy at the studio to ensure the safety of any students or parents with allergies to nuts or nut products and encourage gluten and dairy free foods when involved in fundraisers or studio events.

Just Be Dance Academy's Social Media Policy refers to all social networking sites, video/photo sharing sites, blogs, micro-blogs, wikis, podcasts, forums, instant messaging and geo-spatial tagging (for example, Facebook check-ins). Please see below for our regulations regarding Social Media and feel free to contact our office staff if you have any questions.

- Please remember that your anonymity on Social Media is never guaranteed and to exercise particular caution when posts, images or videos identify children in your care.

- Remain mindful that your behavior on Social Media remains in keeping with Just Be Dance Academy's code of conduct as outlined in our handbook.

- Any comments or posts perceived to be obscene, defamatory, threatening, harassing, discriminatory or hateful towards Just Be Dance Academy staff, students or families may subject the owner to disciplinary or legal action.

- Should you wish to engage on Social Media while identifying as a studio volunteer or employee, you may only do so with integrity, respect, and adhere to privacy and confidentiality policy.

- Any content revealing or referring to sensitive studio information is not allowed to be shared online.

- Intellectual property laws (for example, costume design and choreography) must be observed by all studio patrons when posting online.

- While affiliated with our studio, (for example, images of your child in Just Be Dance Academy uniforms) we will not tolerate any posts that are racially, sexually, physically or religiously offensive.

- All matters pertaining directly to the studio - whether it be fees, scheduling, placements or performance opportunities - may not be communicated via Social Media. We have an open door policy and encourage all communication, complaints and feedback to be communicated to the director directly.

When you purchase or hire a product or service with Just Be Dance Academy, the information we may collect from you includes your name, address, telephone numbers, email addresses, medical information and perhaps credit card or bank details. It may also include details of the products and services we provide to you as well as the status of your enrollment. We only collect information directly from our students or their parent/guardians primarily for the purpose of providing services and products to you and to administer and manage invoicing and debt collection.
We may occasionally use your information to promote and market to you information which we consider may be of interest to you unless you contact us and tell us not to do so.
We will never sell or pass on any of your information to third parties unless required by government authorities or in the event of debt recovery. Any information passed on will be done so with appropriate privacy and confidentiality protection.
Information is stored securely in paper or electronic form and is accessible only by authorized personnel.
