Registration Fee: There is a non-refundable registration fee of $45.00 (forty dollars) per student per class. The Academy will apply $25.00 (twenty dollars) of the registration fee toward the online video of the recital. Any additional class registration fees will be applied towards the student's necessary costume or uniform payment in.

Tuition: There are 36 weeks in the dance season, which result in nine equal tuition payments. Tuition payments are due as follows: August 26, September 25, October 25, November 25, and December 25, 2019 and January 25, February 25, March 25, and April 25, 2020. Tuition may be prepaid annually or paid by installment. Acceptable forms of payment are credit card, post-dated checks, or cash. Adult combination students do not pay a September installment.
Multi-class and Family Discounts: Students pay full price for the 1st and 2nd year-long class and then receive a 25% discount for the 3rd, 4th, and 5th year-long class. Students can register for unlimited classes for $300 per month. With our family discount, first and second students in a family are full price, third students are ½ price, and any other family members may attend class for free. This applies to members of an immediate family only; cousins, nieces, etc. do not qualify. Dance team members and unlimited tuition dancers will not be given the family discount, but can be counted as the first student in the family. To encourage consistent attendance, if a family member is absent more than three weeks in a row, they will not be included in the family discount.
Forms of Payment
Annual Prepayment: You must pay in full for classes but there is no discount for paying in full.
Charge Card Authorization: With your written permission,
you can authorize the Academy to charge your Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover card on or before August 26th, 2019, and ON OR AFTER THE 25TH of the month each month for the remainder of the session. Please complete the authorization form and return it with the Financial Agreement/Liability Waiver by August 26th, 2019. Copies of charge card receipts will be distributed to the student at class if requested.
Post-Dated Checks: You may pay tuition fees by a series of nine post-dated checks. The first check may be dated as late as August 26th, 2019 and the other eight ON OR BEFORE THE 25TH of the month each month for the remainder of the session. Please complete the recap form, attach the nine checks, and return both with the financial agreement/liability waiver by August 26th, 2019.
Cash Payments: Payments are due before the 25th of the month each month for the remainder of the session. If you choose to pay each installment in cash, the 9th installment will be due at the time of registration.
Private Lessons: If additional instruction is needed by an individual, the Academy offers private classes with a teacher or private tutoring with an assistant. Please check with a customer service representative at the time you schedule these special classes for tuition rates. Payment is due when scheduling the special class. Private lessons will not be offered after April 30, 2020.
Late Start Students: Please see a customer service representative for prorated tuition arrangements for students who join after the season has begun.
There are NO REFUNDS for absences from class - you are allowed to attend a make-up class. Please see the schedule on the bulletin board for your make-up options.
WITHDRAWALS AND REFUND PROCEDURE: There is a four-week (one tuition installment) minimum for all lessons. All withdrawals require a 4 week notice. The withdrawal process does not start until the Academy receives a completed and signed withdrawal form. Due to recital planning, no withdrawals will be accepted after March 31, 2018. If a student finds it necessary to withdraw from a class, a parent or adult student MUST:
1) Inform Academy customer service staff 4 weeks prior to their last day, AND
2) Complete, sign, and turn in the withdrawal form provided at the time of notification.
TUITION WILL CONTINUE TO BE CHARGED AND PAYMENTS PROCESSED REGARDLESS OF CLASS ATTENDANCE until the withdrawal procedure has been followed.
IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CUSTOMERS OF ALGONQUIN ACADEMY OF DANCE & MUSIC, LLC. to pay their accounts on time. There is a $25.00 charge for NSF (non-sufficient funds) rejections by your bank for any reason. There is a $25.00 charge for any declines on the automatic credit card payment. (Including expired cards. You are responsible for providing us with new information before the card expires). There is a $25.00 charge for cash and check payments received after the 25th of each month. Unpaid balances will be charged a 5% per month late charge until paid in full. Any professional or legal fees incurred in the collection of past due accounts will be the responsibility of the customer. *Fees are subject to change
WARNING: THIS AGREEMENT IS LEGALLY BINDING. BY SIGNING, YOU GIVE UP YOUR RIGHT TO RECOVER COMPENSATION THROUGH THE COURTS OR OTHERWISE, FOR ANY PERSONAL INJURIES OR DAMAGE TO YOUR PROPERTY ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THE ALGONQUIN ACADEMY OF DANCE AND MUSIC, LLC (the "Academy") FACILITIES, LOCATED AT 4590 PRINCETON LANE, LAKE IN THE HILLS, ILLINOIS (the "Facilities"). THIS AGREEMENT IS BINDING ON YOU, YOUR HEIRS, NEXT OF KIN, SUCCESSORS AND ASSIGNS, AND PERSONAL REPRESENTATIVES. THIS AGREEMENT ALSO REQUIRES YOU TO INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS THE PERSONS RELEASED FROM ANY LOSSES, LIABILITIES, DAMAGES AND COSTS.
Participant specifically assumes all risks of injury arising out of his or her presence on or about the premises, or his/her use or intended use of equipment or facilities, or his/her participation in the activities of Algonquin Academy of Dance, on or about the premises or at another location and odes hereby for himself or herself, his or her heirs, executors and administrators waive, release and agree to hold free all claims for damages, the Algonquin Academy of Dance & Music, and all its respective officers and employees.
BY SIGNING BELOW you acknowledge that you are the party financially responsible for this family's account and are legally authorized to accept the responsibility pertaining to the students of this family. You are stating with your signature that you have read, understand and agree to all statements in this Financial Agreement and Liability Waiver for Dance Students. You are also acknowledging receipt of and agreement to the statements in the Algonquin Academy of Dance and Music, LLC. Dance Policies and Guidelines Memo.
I understand the requirements of the Algonquin Academy of Dance & Music, LLC. as listed in this Financial Agreement and Liability Waiver and in the Dance Policies and Guidelines Memo. I sign this on behalf of my estate, my heirs, and myself.
