Tuition Rates
Tuition must be paid in full at the time of registration unless paying in installments. Installment payments are due by the 15th of every month. A late fee will be assessed for any tuition payment received past the due date, on both full or installment plans. Registration, and uniform/costume fees are non-refundable. You will be informed of any additional fees such as shoe costs, performance ticket prices, pictures, etc. as those needs arise.
Duration
Your child is required to attend the duration of the programming sessions. During the academic year (August/September - May) Open Division classes run for 14 weeks per semester with 2 semesters. Conservatory and Academy Division programs run year-round. Summer classes are as scheduled. Your child is required to attend the full duration of the class time scheduled unless a written excuse is provided.
Refunds
Full refunds will not be issued past the second week of classes. Please provide 30-day advance written notification to the founder/artistic director if you are withdrawing your student from classes. Parents are responsible for payment on classes that occurred prior to withdrawing. If written notification is not received, we assume that your student is still enrolled and tuition will be charged accordingly.
Dress Code
Students are required to come to class in appropriate dance attire (leotard, tights and appropriate shoes for girls. Boys can wear comfortable work out pants and a white t-shirt with appropriate shoes) and dance shoes). Girls and boys with long hair should come with hair pulled back. We do not replace lost or stolen leotards or costumes. The cost of replacement is the responsibility of the parent.
Drop off Policy
It is the responsibility of the parent/legal guardian to escort their child to/from the building for class. Students under the age of five are required to have adult supervision during class. Please have your child ready by providing a snack and bathroom break before entering class. Valley Academy assumes no responsibility for children on the premises before, after, or between their specified class times.
Policies and Procedures
It is the responsibility of the parent to read the student handbook (available on our website www.valleyacademyarts.org) to understand the policies and procedures practices at Valley Academy for the Arts.
Photography Agreement
It is understood that on occasion Valley Academy for the Arts will take photographs or videos of me/my child during performance, rehearsal, class, etc. The photos/videos may be used by Valley Academy for the Arts in promotional materials. If I wish for my child to NOT be photographed, it is my responsibility to notify the studio in writing to info@valleyacademyart.org.
Release of Liability
I hereby agree to release Valley Academy for the Arts and hold Valley Academy for the Arts harmless of all liability, and hereby acknowledge that I knowingly and voluntarily assume full responsibility for all risks of physical injury arising out of active participation on behalf of the participant. I am aware that this is a release of liability and an acknowledgement of my voluntary and knowing assumption of the risk of injury. I have signed this document voluntarily and of my own free will in exchange for the privilege of participation.
Payment Policies
I understand that I am responsible for payment of committed class time. I understand that I cannot receive credit for unattended classes. Monthly and term payments will be posted on the first of the scheduled month and payment is due no later than the 15th of that month. All parents are required to submit credit card and/or banking account information on the parent portal. Payments will be initiated through the parent's chosen method automatically on the 15th of the month unless received in the studio by another method prior to the 15th.
