Chess Max Academy Policies

We look forward to a productive and happy relationship with your family. The following policies have been created to help ensure the smooth operation and safety of our program.
HOW TO REGISTER

After completing your online application you will receive a first email confirming the application. Please provide all relevant contact information, including caregiver's contacts.
All new students will be signed up to do a trial class at a cost of $60 per hour, the regular cost of a class. Once a trial class is upgraded, the remainder of the semester's tuition will be processed. For students who start mid-year, tuition is prorated based on the first class attended and the number of classes remaining in the semester.
Missed Classes & Make Up Policy
No credit nor refunds will be given for missed after school classes. To schedule your make-up, you must contact us first PRIOR to the missed class and we will coordinate the date to do the makeup. You are only allowed three make-ups per semester. The program that the students will be doing in the make-up class may be a program that they have already done or will do. Make-ups do not carry over from previous semesters.
Withdrawal Policy: For After School
If you cancel by midnight 45 days before the start of the program, you get a full refund (your money back). After that date, there is a nonrefundable cancellation fee of $250. And the remaining balance will become a credit on your account. The credit can be used towards a different session, class or birthday party. The credit expires in one year. The credit is NOT transferable to another account.
You must notify us at least 1 week before the class starts to get the credit. If you do decide to withdraw your child , please send us an email to email@example.com with: your child's full name, the date of the last class he/she attended, the reason for withdrawal.
For Summer: No refunds, No credits. We can transfer your child to another week so long as there is availability. You are allowed one transfer at no cost but all subsequent transfers will incur a $50 fee.
Advance payment is required. You may purchase a "private lesson package" from the manager. After the package is purchased you may schedule appointments with the instructor. Please double-check your scheduled private lesson time and date by email: firstname.lastname@example.org Cancellations must be made 48 hours prior to lesson.
Chess Max Academy offers only semester based programs based on 38 weeks a year. Fall Semester (19 lessons from September through January), and Spring semester (19 lessons February to June).
For Summer schedule please contact us directly at email@example.com . All classes should be paid BEFORE student will attend CMA class.
Late pick up
All students should be picked up after class is over.
Students weren't picked up after class are considered a late pick up which will result a fee of $10/10 min per child you are late picking up.
Please make sure that your children are not hungry when they come to CMA.
Each student can also bring a water bottle and snack to eat during the break. If your child brings a snack, please make sure it DOES NOT contain NUTS.
Please ABSOLUTELY NO outside cooked food including deliveries.
While we allow students to stay at the Lobby Area in between classes, or wait for parents or caregivers, CMA is NOT RESPONSIBLE for unattended children of any age. CMA is not responsible for lost items.
Please be careful of conversation topics because there are many "little ears" around. If you have a problem regarding the instructors, other students, or parents, please see a manager to discuss it.
Please make keep the noise level in the Lobby area down, as class.
If your child becomes upset during class, please step outside and return when your child feels better.
Photo and Video Usage Policy
Chess Max Academy has the right to take photos and videos of the classes, camps and tournaments and to use them for publicity purposes.
All deposits are nonrefundable. If the party is cancelled by the Client more than three weeks before the event, no refund of the deposit will be made but you will have an opportunity to reschedule the event within 1 year of the originally scheduled date. If the party is cancelled by the Client within three weeks of the event, no refund or credit of the deposit will be given.
