Ballet Kalamazoo Class Policies
Students are expected to maintain the highest standards of conduct at all times. As a participant in Ballet Kalamazoo, dancers are willing to adhere to the guidelines and rules of the program.
Dancers that are disrupting class may be asked to sit out or return to their parents.
The ballet studio is a special place and needs to be treated with respect. The Station is a historic building. Please do not climb on the brick walls or pull pieces of the brick wall out.
Parents and friends may wait for students in the waiting area and watch through the viewing windows.
Please be respectful in the waiting area as to not disrupt the dancers and other ongoing classes.
Long hair should be pulled back in a bun or ponytail and away from the face.
The ties on the ballet slippers need to be trimmed and must be tucked into their slippers.
Ballet Kalamazoo uniform must be worn in class.
Please no bulky clothing. Proper dance sweaters and leg warmers are permitted.
No dangling or distracting jewelry may be worn during class.
Students age 13 and younger must be accompanied by an adult both on their way in and out of class.
Please contact Amy at 269-267-6681 with any questions or concerns you have
about classes.
Missed classes can be made up. Sorry - but there are no refunds for missed classes.
Ballet Kalamazoo will cancel day and evening classes when Kalamazoo Public Schools are closed and will schedule a makeup class.
