Dancer Code of Conduct
• Have fun!
• Respect all classmates and teachers.
• Listen attentively during practices or classes.
• Obey dress code
• No negative comments to or about anyone.
• Come to classes and rehearsals prepared. This is called "work ethic". Always give 100% effort. This is called "heart". This will pay off in the end, I promise.
• Tell your instructor before rehearsal if you are ill or have an injury.
• Work together as a team. Support each other with positive feedback. Remember that everyone will have his or her time to shine.
• No negative comments about other studios or dancers.
Dancer Dress Code
• Lismore Academy School T-Shirt will be worn to every practice and class.
• Black shorts. Shorts length must be longer than the dancers hands when their hands are closed and down by their sides. No spandex shorts are to be worn unless there is another pair of shorts worn on top. Parents will be notified if their dancers shorts are too short by either email or a note sent with the student.
• Poodle socks are required.
• Dance shoes are required. Exceptions are allowed for injuries.
• Hair is pulled back and away from face. Dancers are asked to wear a headband if hair is layered (to keep hair out of face).
Parent / Guardian Code of Conduct
The purpose of Lismore Academy of Irish Dance is to provide all dancers exceptional role models in a healthy and encouraging environment. I recognize the importance of dance in the lives of young people; I pledge that I will participate in my child's dance activities in accordance with the following:
• I will promote teamwork and sportsmanship for all dancers and spectators in a positive manner.
• I will support my child's company, teachers, and choreographers and resolve to allow the teachers to manage their dancers and choreography as they feel best benefits the entire group.
Because I am a role model for my child, I pledge that:
• I will exhibit exemplary behavior at the studio, performances and competitions for our dancers, other parents and spectators.
• I will be considerate of all dancers and parents.
• I will direct my questions concerning competitions to the Lismore Academy Teachers.
• I will encourage my child to do their best.
• I will only give my child positive feedback on competition days. The teachers will give critiques as needed.
• I will applaud all dancers when attending competition, including the students of other studios.
Payment Policy
Tuition is due the 28th of each month for the following month. Classes should be dropped on the Parent Portal before the 28th of the month. The last payment is April 28th.
Release of Liability
I, the adult applicant, or I, the parent or legal guardian of the applicant listed above, hereby give approval of the applicant's participation in any and all of Lismore Academy's programs and activities. I do waive, release, absolve, indemnify, and agree to hold harmless the organizers, sponsors, supervisors, participants, and persons involved in the operation of Lismore Academy's programs for any claims arising out of injury or other loss to named applicant or any member of his/her family whether as a participant in the activities or as a spectator.
