*Leap of Faith Arts Ministries is a member-based organization. Our annual membership fee is $25 per student. Memberships are charged at registration and renewed each fall. No membership fee is due for summer classes. Membership fees are non-refundable with the exception of preschool students who are determined to be unready for dance and may receive a credit for the following season.
*Enroll early: Classes fill up fast, and class size is limited. Leap of Faith reserves the right to cancel classes due to insufficient enrollment.
*Please Note: There will be times during class in which the instructor may need to assist a dancer through movement. In such cases, the instructor may need to physically touch the dancer in order to ensure proper instruction.
*Rescheduling and Substitution: Leap of Faith reserves the right to provide a substitute teacher if the regular teacher is ill or is otherwise unable to teach. Leap of Faith reserves the right to reschedule or combine classes when needed.
*Attendance: Regular attendance is vital to student progress and group choreography. Please make every effort to attend each class. If a student is to miss class, please notify their instructor 24 hours in advance, unless there is an illness or emergency. In this case, please call either 779.2323.LOF or email the instructor at least 30 minutes prior to class. Students may make up 1 missed lesson per semester. If a student misses more than 2 of the final 8 classes before the recital, they may be dismissed from participating in the recital routine at the discretion of the instructor. Shining Lights Dancers have additional attendance policies. Please see your handbook for more information.
*Leap of Faith strives to provide the best quality and care to all students and their families. These safety guidelines must be taken into great consideration. Parents/Guardians should walk their child in and out of the studio (except for dancers attending two classes in a row). Parents/Guardians need to make the instructor aware if someone beside themselves will be dropping off or picking up the dancer. Parents/Guardians need to be punctual when arriving to pick up their child. Instructors and desk staff have prior obligations and commitments and cannot take on the responsibility of looking after a child and waiting until a parent/guardian arrives. Thank you for your understanding.
*Students with medical issues may be required to provide a note from their doctor releasing them to participate in dance as well as provide an action plan to the Leap of Faith staff in case of emergency.
Leap of Faith is an active advocate of safety, quality, and care. Students that choose to exhibit behavior that is disrespectful, unsafe, or harmful will be asked to observe class. If the situation proves to be worsening, the student will be asked to leave the class, and his or her parents will be called. If the situation is becoming uncontrollable, the student's parents will be called and asked to immediately pick up the student (in a case like this, the student may be told that he/she can no longer attend class). Leap of Faith hopes that these incidents will never arise; however, to provide the best quality, safety, and care this needs to be implemented.
*Lost and Found: A lost and found bin is located in the lobby. Please check the lost and found bin regularly as all lost and found items are donated on the 1st of each month.
*Communications: At Leap of Faith, we go to great lengths to keep you informed and up to date.
*Weekly Wednesday emails, website, Facebook and Lobby displays

Any group class will not be rescheduled, but will be allowed to choose any other group class in our schedule to attend as a make-up. No refunds or credits will be given due to inclement weather.
*Arrive to class 10 minutes before class begins.
*Wear dress code appropriate attire.
*Remain respectful of the instructor and class members.
*No gum, food, or beverage is allowed in dance studio, except bottled water.
*Attendance is essential to quality education in the arts.
*Consecutive absences may result in removal from class.
*Please use the restroom before class, during breaks, or after class.
*Student cell phones should be turned off and left outside of the studio during class
*Siblings and parents are welcome at Leap of Faith! We are happy to provide toys and books that stimulate creativity and imagination for siblings while they wait. Please make sure to encourage children to clean up after themselves before you leave.
*Please clean up food and drink spills.
*To make sure that our students are focused in the studios, please keep conversations, tap shoes and siblings quiet in the lobby.
*Leap of Faith's dress code is designed to ensure an educational and safe environment as well as to promote modesty. Dancer's hair must be pulled back at all times. If hair is not pulled back, it can interfere with the dancer's line of vision. Jeans are not to be worn in any discipline. Dancers should wear a solid-colored leotard, tights (pink tights for ballet classes) and either a dance skirt, fitted capri or jazz pants or longer shorts to all dance classes. Short shorts and other immodest dance-wear is not acceptable and will result in parents being called to bring appropriate dance wear to the studio. Dancers should have their hair pulled neatly back and secured in place with bobby pins and hairspray.
*When arriving or leaving the studio, it is expected that all students wear a cover-up of some sort. This may be a pair of pants, dress, sweater, sweatshirt, etc. Students should not wear dance wear outside of the classroom without putting on street clothes over their leotard, tights and fitted shorts or pants.
Theater/Acting Dress Code:
*Dress in comfortable attire. We recommend wearing either jazz or yoga pants and a comfortable tank or tee. Boys can wear gym shorts or sweat pants and a tee. No jeans please, as students need to move around during class. Students may attend class in stocking feet. There is no shoe required for acting classes, but if students prefer to wear shoes, they must wear clean tennis shoes to protect our dance floor.
Dance Shoes and Dance Wear:
*Leap of Faith is proud to partner with Discount Dance Supply for your dance shoes and dance wear! To order, please go to www.discountdance.com and use the Teacher Code 37848. Discount Dance will make a donation to Leap of Faith on your behalf when you use this code!

To withdraw a parent must: 1) inform the studio in person, and 2) complete and sign a withdrawal form. Automatic bank debiting or credit card charges will stop after the one-month notice period. Refunds are only given when Leap of Faith cancels a class due to low enrollment. Leap of Faith Arts Ministries reserves the right to terminate lessons to any student without notice. In such a case, a refund for unused lessons will be given. No refunds are given for missed lessons. Cancellation of classes will result in removal from auto-pay and no further debits will be deducted from the account on file, if and only when notified 1 month prior to the next billing cycle. Refunds are only given for prolonged illness or injury. In both cases, a doctor's note is required.
*Late Fees: Accounts not paid within terms are subject to a 5% monthly finance charge until paid.
