Assumption of risk
As the legal parent or guardian, I release Step Out Dance Company, its owners and operators from any and all liability, claims, demands, and causes of action whatsoever, arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury, including death, that may be sustained by the participant and/or the undersigned, while in or upon the premises or en route to or from any of said premises. I understand that appropriate physical contact is required during the instruction of dance, and I give permission for instructors to make appropriate physical contact with me or my child for such instruction.
Code of conduct
To make sure things run smoothly and that all our tamariki are safe, please see the conduct guidelines below:
• We are unable to take responsibility for our students before or after their scheduled classes and it is the responsibility of the parent to ensure their child is picked up and dropped off on time. In the case of an emergency or unavoidable delay, please contact the studio immediately to inform us of the situation so we can keep your child calm and safe until they can be collected.
• In the rare case of a parent or student showing disrespect or defamation to any parent, staff member or student, a meeting will be called immediately and dismissal may be considered at the discretion of the directors. Physical, mental, emotional or cyber bullying by parents, staff or students will not be tolerated and may result in dismissal from the studio.
• Step Out Dance Company takes no responsibility for any stolen or misplaced property on the studio premises and we encourage our families to avoid bringing valuable items into the studio where possible.
• Step Out Dance Company management reserves the right to change teachers or timetables when necessary at any time throughout the year.
Classes and waiting lists
Our classes have a maximum number of students. If this number is reached, a waiting list will begin for new enrolments into the class. If you are added to a waiting list you will be contacted when/if a space becomes available for you. There will be no fees charged for being on a waiting list.
Tuition
Weekly classes for a minimum of 8 weeks per term. If any term falls below 8 weeks a make-up class will be offered. The term fee does not include exam fees, extra rehearsals, costume fees, performance tickets.
Payment Policy
• Please note that all enrolments are only secured once term fees have been paid in full.
• Fees are payable in advance prior to the term commencing.
• No refunds are given for missed classes due to overseas trips, family holidays or birthdays etc. refunds may be granted due to illness, injury or bereavement only (medical certificates may be requested).
• There will be no refund of term fees if a student leaves a class after the term has commenced.
• Changing classes at any time will not incur any charges unless there is a discrepancy in the term fee.
• Late fees will apply if Terms fees are received after the first week of each Term.
• All new enrolments will incur a one off $20 enrolment fee per family.
